Ice Dams Cause Water and Mold Damage to New Haven County Home

A winter storm caused the gutters on this home to fill with ice, causing ice dams to the roof. When our technicians arrived to the call that there was water damage in the home, they observed that there was already microbial growth on the area where the walls and the ceiling met. Mold can grow in 24 hours after water damage.

After removing and discarding the wet walls, ceiling and insulation, we treated the space for mold. The remaining materials were dried out, air filtration was performed to remove mold spores from the air and antimicrobial agents applied.
