Commercial Building Flooded By Fire Sprinkler

Sometimes fire sprinkler systems can malfunction.  If a system or even a small portion of the sprinkler system is exposed to freezing temperatures, water can turn to ice, expanding in volume and producing thousands of pounds of built up pressure.  Unfortunately, that is what happened to this local commercial building causing a substantial amount of damage to its tenant’s contents.

Other common reasons sprinkler heads go off can be caused from accidental overheating, mechanical damage or corrosion. Therefore, it is critical to have you fire sprinkler system inspected and maintained on a regular bases.
