SERVPRO of Southbury/Torrington Restores Basement of Middlebury, CT Business After Flooding From Rain

After a heavy rainstorm, mucky floodwaters filled the unfinished basement of this Middlebury, CT building. It was a situation that required a quick response in order to help save some of the contents of the basement if possible. 

Following the removal of the water, we set up air blowers and dehumidifiers to start the process of removing the moisture from the air.  Our crew  then began the process of sorting through the contents of the basement.  We inventoried and packed up the items in the basement that were not damaged and  transported them to a climate controlled storage facility. A dumpster was delivered on site for non-salvageable material such as the wet drywall that we had torn out. Once the basement was clear, we were able to pressure steam the concrete floors and apply an environmentally friendly plant based microbial to the floors. 

At the end of the job, the business owner told us "The guys did a GREAT job with a very messy situation. They deserve 3 gold stars".
